Each
Calamansi Bijoux creation is handmade with special attention,
and good care and maintenance is essential to maintain them over the years.
Jewellery can tarnish over time and wear, and it should be stored individually
and flat to avoid scratching with other items. Storing your jewellery in
sealed bags will slow the process of oxidation, and keeping them away from
direct sunlight will ensure that gems retain their full brillance.
It is advisable to remove your jewellery when washing, playing sports,
carrying out physical work, and sleeping.
When travelling, we strongly recommend keeping our creations in our
Calamansi pouch and in a box, which will prevent them from being crushed
or damaged in your luggage.
It is also advisable to avoid contact with chemicals such as perfume, hair
spray, deodorant etc. Therefore, it's best to put jewellery on last when
you are getting dressed, especially after hair styling products and perfumes
have been applied.
Stones all have a different hardness, some of them are easily scratched.
In addition, some stones can be quite porous and shouldn't be immersed in
water for too long.
Normal techniques to clean jewellery include gently washing your jewellery
in warm water and mild soap, then using a soft silver cloth to clean it.
If you wish to clean a stone, it might be worth using a soft brush.

Check your jewellery
to ensure that stones and pearls are not too loose;
if that's the case, please contact us and we will gracefully re-string
or re-mount them for you, as part of the Calamansi service. |
